inTechnology Education and Literacy in Schools (TEALS) is a Microsoft Philanthropies program that connects existing classroom teachers with industry professionals to create a sustainable CS program at your school. The industry professionals provide the content to the teacher and the students, while the classroom teacher guides the lesson planning and takes on the role of lead learner. This unique professional development model empowers teachers to learn computer science from an expert in the field and eventually teach courses on their own. Many TEALS schools have teachers that have trained with code.org and find that the combination of our programs has been beneficial to student success.
We are currently accepting partner school applications for the 2021-22 school year. You can access the application at Microsoft.com/TEALS.
