Mark your calendars! The Western Upper Peninsula STEM Fair & Festival will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Memorial Union Building (MUB) at Michigan Technological University.

Event Information

The STEM Fair is for Western U.P. students grades 4-8 to submit their science fair project or invention convention michigan (ICM) project for judging.

NEW THIS YEAR: In addition to traditional science fair project submissions, the science fair will also serve as the Regional Invention Convention Michigan (ICM) competition. Michigan Tech recently became a hub for Invention Convention Michigan (ICM) in the Western U.P.

The Registration Deadline is Monday, January 15, 2024.

The STEM Festival portion of the event will have engaging hands-on activities for all students and families, including exhibitor booths from the community.

STEM Festival

What:  Exciting, hands-on science & engineering activities facilitated MTU students, will be open to all science fair participants and their family members. It is also open to all K-8 youth and their families.

Where: Commons Area (ground floor) of MTU’s Memorial Union Building

When: Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
